The Johns Hopkins Hospital- Pediatric / Adult OR has 10 operating Rooms and 2 procedure rooms. The surgical subspecialties include: pediatric general surgery, cardiac, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, orthopedics, urology, plastic, burns, trauma, transplant, gastrointestinal, fetal surgery, and dental. Other procedures include: adult overflow cases, oncology- LP & chemo, and anesthesia assisted intubation. The Johns Hopkins Children Center is a Regional Pediatric Burn Center.

Shifts: 8 or 10 Hour Rotating Shifts


  1. High School diploma or equivalent required
  2. Successful completion Surgical Technician training program; equivalent work experience may be considered
  3. BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
  4. No surgical technician work experience required; 6-12 months of Surg Tech work experience preferred
  5. Surgical Technician Certification preferred
