Responsible for ensuring accurate patient demographic and financial information is obtained and verified by all registrars prior to patient being discharged. Ensures that all registrars utilize electronic insurance verification systems available. Communicates effectively with Emergency Department staff to prioritize registration needs and issues on a timely basis. Ensures adequate shift coverage seven days per week and maintaining bi-weekly work schedule. Reviews shift registrations and provide feedback to registrars on a daily basis. Initiates employee disciplinary actions, when necessary. Ensures training on both registration system and Emergency Department tracking system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine. Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
High School Diploma or GED
Two years of previous experience.
Evenings, Fulltime (40 hours per week)
3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
Work at least two evening weekend shifts per month
