Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is looking for a Trainer. The EPIC Trainers will educate and support providers and staff on efficient inbasket management workflows. The position requires excellent presentation and verbal skills as well as the ability to self-motivate and work independently. This position will provide ongoing support in areas such as training design/delivery, evaluation of training outcomes, and orient all new JHCP staff. The Trainer may (1) design training based on practice needs (2) analyze Help Desk calls for trends that require training interventions (3) assist JHCP employees with effective usage of office electronic registration, scheduling and electronic health record (EHR) applications (4) serve as general point of contact for JHCP's Help Desk (5) provide interactive, hands-on training to new and experienced staff.

Trainer must have a thorough knowledge of Epic, insurance payers with an emphasis on accurate eligibility verification and identifying benefits, referral and authorization requirements. The Trainer will meet regularly with Practice Leadership to assure personal knowledge of learning needs of support staff, and to evaluate the effectiveness of all related training approaches and materials. The Trainer may periodically work as a member of a practice’s support team to assure familiarity with staff functions. Status: Exempt Full-time 40 hours per week

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED. College preferred.
  • EPIC EHR knowledge and experience required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of work experience. Working knowledge of medical insurance, payer contracts and participating agreements is required. Demonstrated experience training adults in small and large group settings using multiple media formats.
