General Summary:
The Occupational Therapist Assistant specializing in Acute Care:
Works under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Inpatient Manager
Uses objective evaluation techniques to assess the occupational limitations and medical condition of patients
Prescribes and implements a treatment program which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function
Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
Promotes improvement in service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care
Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
1 year of Occupational Therapist experience preferred
Knowledge of Acute Care required
Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program
Current State licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required
Shift: Full-time - Monday - Friday - Some weekends and Holidays
Salary Range: Minimum $26.58/hour - Maximum $43.89/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.

Position Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant specializing in Acute Care:
- Works under the supervision of the Team Coordinator and/or Clinical Specialist, and leadership of the Rehab Therapy Services Team Leader, Supervisor and/or Inpatient or Outpatient Manager
- Implements a treatment program as established by a licensed PT which is designed to return patients to their maximum level of function
- Works collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary health care team to maximize patient and team outcomes
- Prompts improvement of service, department and hospital systems to benefit patient care
- Incorporates and operationalizes the goals and objectives of the organization
Education:
Completion of an Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.
Licensure from State of Maryland, Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification.
Shift: Full-time 40 hours per week - 8:00 - 4:30 p.m. - Some weekends and Holidays
