General Summary:

  • Guided by our mission, Johns Hopkins Medicine is committed to the education of health care professionals across a wide range of disciplines. The Johns Hopkins Health System Administrative Resident is a formal administrative training program that provides exposure to organizational structure, mentorship, professionalism, diversity and project management. While the Administrative Resident will have broad organizational exposure, the Administrative Resident is selected by and based in a single entity or department in the system for approximately one year. The Administrative Resident is supervised by a preceptor, who is a member of the leadership team at or above the level of Director. Preceptors are committed to the development of the Administrative Resident and expected to meet weekly with the Administrative Resident and direct the day to day experience and projects. The Administrative Resident participates in a number of projects that require the resident to develop skill across the following categories: benchmarking, budget development, business planning, data/financial analysis, human resources, leadership, process improvement, project management, strategic planning, and time management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree (completed or in progress) is preferred.
  • 6 months work experience in business or relevant field preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 32.40/hour - Maximum 32.40/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
