General Summary:
Work within the Crisis Intervention Dept. which provides both psychiatric and addiction (i.e., alcohol and drug abuse) assessments in our Emergency Department, as well as liaison services for medical patients. The Crisis Intervention Team acts as consultant to physicians by providing crisis intervention and psychiatric/addiction assessments. The goal is to place patients in the least restrictive treatment setting, to offer stabilization and then a carefully designed appropriate treatment plan and referral.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least five years’ experience preferred in the mental health/addiction field; proficiency at conducting assessments and formulating psychiatric diagnoses; thorough knowledge of DSM-IV-R.
- Knowledge of current state mental hygiene regulations.
- Familiarity with managed care criteria
- MD Social Worker or LPC license
- Current Maryland LCSW-C and LPCP (Licensed Professional Counselors) or Psy.D/PH.D license is required
Salary Range: Minimum 39.75/hour - Maximum 65.56/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
