Position Summary:

The Operations Supervisor provides leadership, guidance and supervision of staff to ensure the provision of effective and accurate execution of departmental procedures. This position participates in the development of operational unit policies and procedures and ensures procedures are performed by staff in a manner that ensures compliance and collaboration with other departments and individuals as needed. This role acts as a functional unit liaison to investigate complaints associated with specific operation and staff, and monitors operational metrics on a regular basis.

Other responsibilities include participating in special projects, leading operational initiatives and collaborating with others on process improvements.

Education:

Bachelor Degree required

Required Work Experience:

5+ years' related experience in operations and customer service, preferably in a healthcare setting.

1+ years of previous supervisor experience is required. Previous experience working with a culturally diverse employee population is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Work requires professional knowledge in order to perform a wide-range of administrative duties.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, finance, and customer relationship management principles.
  • Knowledge of cultural standards and customs, relevant economic and political variables of regions.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance
  • Effectively understands and interprets financial and business elements associated with internal and external clients.
  • Basic knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements in healthcare.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to function as liaison between clinics, patients and mediating personnel and resolve unit specific problems.
  • Ability to lead a culturally diverse group of professionals.
  • Ability to multi-task multiple projects and priority tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions in dealing with issues.
  • Ability to train, lead, and motivate people.
  • Requires analytical ability to review data and resolve problems.
  • Experience in project management.

Salary Range: Minimum 27.05/hour - Maximum 47.35/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
