The Johns Hopkins Hospital, a 1,179 bed academic medical center, and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine are the major components of the Johns Hopkins Health System, a vertically integrated, multi-institutional system for medical services delivery. The Department of Pharmacy, consistent with the mission of Johns Hopkins Medicine, places a priority on teaching, research and patient care. At Johns Hopkins Hospital, the department is responsible for providing acute care pharmacy services for a diverse population of medical and surgical patients, with additional services provided within the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and affiliated clinics. Within the department, there are 45 acute care and primary care clinical pharmacy specialists as well as 31 general and specialized pharmacy residents.

Under general supervision, the Pharmacy Associate is responsible for the efficient and accurate provision of drug supplies and drug information according to established standards of practice. Duties are performed in one or more of the department's divisions.Successful completion from an accredited pharmacy school with a Pharm.D. degree. Eligible for, or possesses a current, valid Maryland pharmacy license in good standing to practice pharmacy. Meets state pharmacy licensure requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Successful completion from an ACPE accredited pharmacy school with a Pharm.D. degree
  • 6 months of pharmacy-related work experience is desired
  • Eligible for, or possesses a current, valid Maryland pharmacy license in good standing to practice pharmacy. Meets state pharmacy licensure requirements.
  • Intravenous (IV) Certification (includes aseptic technique and hazardous substance handling) within 90 days of hire

Salary Range: Minimum $27.50hour - Maximum $28.88/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
