Position Summary:
The Transport Associate is responsible for the timely, courteous, and competent transportation of patients throughout Johns Hopkins Hospital and Outpatient Center, primarily using wheelchairs or stretchers. Receives assignments for specific trips and associated tasks from Supervisor and Customer Service Representatives. Delivers and retrieves transport equipment throughout the campus area, as directed. Participates in maintenance and minor repair work on wheelchairs and stretchers. Accepts additional assignments related to support functions to provide service excellence to internal and external customers.
Shift - Evening Shift - 5:30 pm - 10:30 pm, 30 hours per week. Every other weekend, work and holiday are required.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or a G.E.D. Certificate
- A minimum of one to three months of experience in a healthcare setting
- Current basic cardiac life support (C.P.R.) required
Salary Range: Minimum 17.92/hour - Maximum 20.79/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
