Join our dynamic team at Johns Hopkins Hospital as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner providing clinical care in the Newborn Nursery on Zayed 8. The NP will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team and is responsible for providing comprehensive and age-appropriate care including newborns with complex medical needs. The NP educates patient families and promotes mother/baby couplet care and provides lactation assistance to all new mothers on Zayed 8.

The Nurse Practitioner practices within the guidelines of the unit department and institution.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; primarily Day Shift with occasional night coverage. Weekends and Holidays required.

Qualifications:

  • MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN and CRNP license are required
  • Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family NP in the State of Maryland. Primary Care Certified Nurse Practitioner preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NPR) CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
  • The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of acute care RN work experience (NICU or L&D experience strongly preferred)
  • NP work experience preferred

Salary Range: Minimum 58.03/hour - Maximum 89.94/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
