Lead Medical Technologist (Night Shift)
Duties: Works effectively as Lead Technologist to provide clinical laboratory testing which is moderate and complex in nature. Accurately performs Core Lab and Blood Bank testing. Serves as acting supervisor of Laboratory Operations. This includes Phlebotomy/Processing supervision if applicable. Evaluates and maintains adequate staffing levels on off shifts. Performs maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment in assigned areas. Accurately performs and reviews Quality Control per established section procedure. Assists department managers in developing and validating new test procedures and implementation of new equipment as required. This includes quality control procedures and proficiency testing procedures. Effectively communicates section status, needs, issues, and concerns to management or Administrative Director. Actively participates in the Laboratory Performance Improvement program. Assists management with performance evaluations of off shift staff as requested. Promotes team approach in solving/resolving operational issues, and performing workload. Routinely cleans and maintains an organized work area. Ensures that Universal Precautions are practiced at all times. Exhibits good interpersonal skills for patient contact and telephone use. Professionally and effectively acts in the capacity of mentor to new technologist. Acts as technical/clinical resource person in their assigned areas. Performs other duties as assigned by management, the Administrative Director or designee.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a closely related science. Three years’ experience as a medical technologist, including 2 years of experience in performing Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and Urinalysis. Must hold certification as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or International Medical Laboratory Scientist from a nationally recognized certifying body.
Salary: $37.58-$61.99 per hour

Salary Range: Minimum 37.58/hour - Maximum 61.99/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
