The Johns Hopkins Department of Radiology CT Technologist Training Program is a post-primary program for x-ray technologists who are interested in advancing their career in computed tomography.
This paid five-month, full-time program is designed to prepare students for advanced certification in Computed Tomography. Pending annual approval by ASRT, our program exceeds the minimum structured education requirements to earn ARRT credentials in CT and offers comprehensive clinical training for your success as a CT technologist. Classroom courses include Patient Safety, Contrast Media, Venipuncture, Cross Sectional Anatomy, CT Physics, Pathology, and CT Procedures and Protocols. Clinical experiences offer interactions with diverse patient populations including Inpatient, Outpatient, Oncology, Pediatric, Critical Care, and Trauma.
This program takes advantage of the wide range of imaging resources available at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, Outpatient Center, and Johns Hopkins Imaging sites. These clinical facilities provide training on state-of-the-art equipment and clinical experiences that may not be found at other institutions. The Johns Hopkins Hospital is consistently recognized as one of the premier healthcare organizations in the United States and the world. This program is dedicated to training technologists who exemplify this standard and degree of excellence.
Accepted participants will receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus upon the start of the program!
Minimum Qualifications:
- ARRT Credentialed in Radiography
- Maryland State license from the Board of Physicians
- Continuing Education Compliant

- Official transcripts from a Radiography Program and any previous transcripts from the past five (5) years
- Email official transcripts to CTProgram@jhmi.edu
- Copies from the applicant will not be accepted
- Provide a minimum of two (2) references with your application materials
- One from your Radiography Program Director or other instructor
- Once from your current employer
