Position Summary:
The System Development Manager reports to the IT Director, and is responsible for the work activities of a group of software applications analysts/programmers. This position allocates resources through team leadership to accomplish goals and objectives, and participates in project planning to ensure effective use of technology to meet customers’ needs.
The System Development Manager participates in long range strategy and planning for the department, and provides technical advice to senior management. This role may be responsible for project budgets between one to five million dollars, and will lead multiple projects of various levels of complexity. This position provides leadership, motivation, and direction to staff, builds teamwork, and fosters staff cohesion. This role also reviews work for completeness and technical accuracy, and establishes and monitors project schedules and ensures adherence to work deadlines.
Competencies:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Management or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Knowledge :
Skills:
Work Experience : 7 years of experience with computer systems and applications; 5 years’ experience planning/managing projects.
Salary Range: Minimum 54.35/hour - Maximum 95.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
