Summary
Reports to an assigned Licensed Certified Social Worker. Responsible for assessing client needs and providing counseling or referrals to appropriate community service agencies. May provide clinical supervision to social work students. Assignments may include a specific clinical specialty. Contributes to the development of new social work services and improvements in health care delivery systems.
Shift: PRN
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Evaluates the needs of clients, hospital patients, or clinic patients
- Interviews clients and patients to gather information
- Provides counseling to patients and families
- Consults with other professionals regarding recovery, welfare, or rehabilitation
- Initiates and completes timely discharge planning
- Provides information and referral services
- Participates in conferences, meetings, and staff development sessions
- Maintains required records and statistics
- Contributes to research projects and community peer meetings to improve care services
- Performs related duties as required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Master’s degree in Social Work required
- Less than six months of previous experience required
- Current state licensure as LMSW required
- Strong analytical skills to resolve basic scientific, mathematical, or technical problems
- Ability to communicate effectively
Salary Range: Minimum 1.00/hour - Maximum 45.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
