The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial oversight, analysis, and governance support for the Software Intake Process (SIP), IT Rate development, and Enterprise IT Finance Benchmarking reporting. Responsibilities include reviewing software requests, contracts, invoices, and budgets for financial accuracy; ensuring proper capital versus operating expense classification; preparing executive-ready budget information; coordinating with stakeholders to collect, validate, and document benchmarking data; and developing and maintaining IT rates used for budgeting, chargebacks, and cost recovery. This role supports informed technology investment decisions, strengthens risk management and compliance, promotes consistent financial reporting, and helps prevent project approval delays, inaccurate budgeting, and administrative reconciliation issues. This position may train others in budget-related policies and procedures.

Requires knowledge of Budget processes.

Corporate finance as it relates to all aspects of health care, which may include the following: Budget analysis for health care programs and projects; Revenue cycle principles; cost accounting principles; Managed care pricing; Management and development of staff.

Requires analytical ability to develop some management, narrative, and statistical reports.

Monitors, identifies, and communicates over-expenditures to faculty and administrative staff.

Understands, monitors, and positively impacts hospital billing reports.

Keeps abreast of laws and regulations that apply to a particular staff function or field of professional expertise to maintain up-to-date compliance.

Monitors and approves department expenditures throughout the budgetary period.

Exchanges non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate, requiring good oral and written communication.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field and five (5) years of experience in finance, preferably in a healthcare setting -or-
Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field and three (3) years of experience, preferably in a healthcare setting

Salary Range: $31.53 /hour - $52.06/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
