We specialize in women’s and children’s services, surgery, cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, gerontology, psychiatry, emergency services and community health education.

What You Will Do:

The Nursing Professional Development Specialist for the Nurse Residency Program is a registered nurse with demonstrated clinical and leadership experience. Responsibilities include meeting with new graduates, rounding on the units, and assisting with seminars in collaboration with the NRP Coordinator. This role also serves as an educator for the float pool team and supports other Nurse Residency Program initiatives.

Who Should Apply:

  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing required (BMSN) (Required).
  • Master’s degree preferred. Qualified applicants can be placed in the position if they agree to complete an MSN; must apply to and be accepted into an MSN program within six months, with coursework to begin promptly after acceptance. Steady progress toward degree completion is defined as a minimum of 9 credits per calendar year from the time course work begins.
  • RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required).
  • Specialty certification preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience required.
  • Experience in nursing/staff education preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 47.96/hour - Maximum 74.34/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
