Job Summary:

The Professional Billing Revenue Cycle Program Manager:

  • Leads the planning, coordination, and execution of professional billing revenue cycle programs to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-performing financial operations across the organization. Serves as the primary liaison of the PB revenue cycle team to designated clinical teams, building and managing strategic relationships with clinic administrators, physicians, and departmental leadership to drive alignment, transparency, and results.
  • Partners cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and finance stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and resolve revenue cycle optimization opportunities, including charge capture improvement, denial reduction, workflow standardization, and system enhancements. Translates complex revenue cycle data into actionable insights, regularly presenting key performance indicators (KPIs), trends, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and executive forums.
  • Oversees program performance by monitoring operational metrics, regulatory compliance, and financial outcomes, ensuring adherence to payer requirements and organizational standards. Leads structured governance and communication cadences, including senior-level meetings, to drive accountability, escalate systemic issues, and sustain continuous improvement.
  • This role is responsible for advancing revenue cycle performance through strategic program management, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making, with a focus on optimizing net revenue, reducing cost to collect, and enhancing the overall provider and patient financial experience.

Job Functions:

  • Serves as the primary relationship owner and strategic liaison for Professional Billing (PB) revenue cycle operations, partnering with clinic administrators, physicians, and departmental leadership to drive alignment, resolve issues, and optimize performance.
  • Leads the planning, execution, and ongoing management of revenue cycle programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals, operational priorities, and centralized revenue cycle strategies
  • Facilitates cross-functional collaboration across clinical, operational, finance, and IT teams to identify, prioritize, and implement revenue cycle optimization opportunities, including charge capture improvement, denial reduction, workflow redesign, and system enhancements.
  • Owns the identification, tracking, and resolution of revenue cycle issues and trends, coordinating stakeholders to drive timely resolution of root causes impacting billing, collections, and reimbursement.
  • Develops, analyzes, and presents key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and executive-level reports, translating data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare administration, business administration, finance, or a related field
  • One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience or one year of relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management (Required)

Salary Range: Minimum 49.01/hour - Maximum 78.43/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
