The Senior Performance Improvement Specialist for the Johns Hopkins Health System is responsible for managing and facilitating the identification, implementation and ongoing measurement of multiple, complex projects under limited guidance, which improve the effectiveness and quality of health care. The senior specialist consistently applies improvement methodology coupled with change management strategies to projects in an effort to design new systems and processes well while re-engineering existing processes and systems to improve operations and safety and quality of care. The senior specialist will assist in creating a culture of continuous improvement by demonstrating a passion for change while managing multiple high-level projects.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in business, Health Administration or another relevant field is required. Master’s degree in business, Health Administration or another relevant field is preferred.
LICENSURE:
Completion/Certification of Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma, Lean, or similar training as designated by department in 1 year of hire and/or promotion into position.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a operational environment in healthcare that must include Two (2) years of experience in supporting organizational change, Project Management, Change Management, Performance/Process Improvement. Consultant experience desired.
Salary Range: Minimum 37.60/hour - Maximum 62.08/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
