Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, this role provides individual counseling, case management, and/or group education to individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug dependency.
Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, or a related field
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of individual and group counseling, as well as family education techniques
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, staff, outside organizations, and healthcare partners
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills
Licensure / Certification
- Current Maryland Board of Professional Counselors certification as a CAC-AD, CSC-AD, or Addiction Counselor Trainee
Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in a substance abuse or related mental health setting
Salary Range: Minimum 23.35/hour - Maximum 38.54/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
