Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
SUMMARY
Wide range of secretarial and office support duties. Works with minimal supervision. Requires basic grammar, spelling and
punctuation. Ability to type and transcribe dictation, manuscripts, routine office correspondence and medical reports with
speed and accuracy. Scheduling of patients for appointments, surgical procedures, preoperative and postoperative
appointments, capable of screening inquires with tack, courtesy and good judgment. Maintain appointment schedule both
clinical and administrative.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Work requires a high school level of educational development and up to one year of basic technical training in
secretarial/office management and one year of previous experience.
2. No certification, registration or licensure required.
3. Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or
problems are relatively routine.
4. Work requires the ability to exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors,
explain medical center policies, and/or relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction
requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or medical center employees.
Salary Range: Minimum 18.87/hour - Maximum 31.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
