Summary
Screens and handles routine matters for the Office of the Vice President of HR; performs administrative duties such as drafting, editing, and typing complex reports; develops, implements, and maintains appropriate office protocol and organization, as well as competently executing or delegating the day-to-day administrative tasks.
Education and Experience: Requires two years of college-level coursework, technical business school, or equivalent.
Three to five years of related experience.
Must have interpersonal skills necessary to handle sensitive and confidential situations, including poise, tact, and diplomacy, and to interact with diverse groups of people within the Institution and from outside agencies.
Specialized secretarial skills such as office management, shorthand, statistical typing and bookkeeping.
Requires keyboard skills at the equivalent of 30 WPM.
Requires math skills appropriate to understand and perform basic budget and spreadsheet functions.
Requires an excellent command of English grammar and spelling.
Salary Range: $22.33/hour - $36.86/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
