The Linen Aide reports to the Assistant Director, Supply Chain – Linen Services.  Under close supervision of the Linen Services Group Leader/Supervisor, assembles, inspects, and counts linen.  Comprehends and demonstrates the delivery process for small orders as it relates to the Towline Operations for the Supply Chain Shared Service Center.   

Shift: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Night Shift: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am. Weekend and holiday work is required

Education:  

• Requires the ability to read at a minimum of an 8th-grade level and mathematical ability of at least a 6th-grade level

Knowledge: 

• Requires the ability to read and understand English to follow instructions, job assignments, schedules, and work orders.
• Ability to utilize and understand universal safety precautions when delivering

Skills: 

• Must be able to count and accurately complete inventory sheets.
• Highly effective interpersonal communication skills to interact with medical staff, patients, visitors, and other hospital employees.

• None

Working Conditions:

• Work requires lifting of 50 lbs., standing and/or walking for 100% of time.
• Work is performed in a warehouse environment where there is exposure to dust and noise.
• Employees in this position will be required to adhere to work availability and departmental scheduling requirements. 
• This may include, but is not limited to, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
