The Physical Therapist Outpatient: 

  • Provides evaluation, program planning and treatment of patients referred to Physical Therapy 

  • Provides documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students 

  • To participate in the enhancement of the profession, the facility, and one’s self by providing quality care, clinical research, and education 

  • Ensures that all patients are helped to meet their maximum potential through the quality care and input to medical management provided by the Physical Therapist and that the therapist continues his or her professional growth and development contribution to the Medical Center 

  

Education: 

  • Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy earned prior to January 1, 2015, from accredited programs, with current 
    licensure, may be accepted based on historical requirements. (Required)
  •  Master's Degree Physical Therapy earned prior to January 1, 2015, from accredited programs, with current 
    licensure, may be accepted based on historical requirements. (Required)

Required Licensure, Certification, Etc.: 

  • Current State licensure as Physical Therapist required. 

  • AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required. 

  

Experience:  

  • One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience or one year of 
    relevant professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.

  • Less Than 2 Years of Experience 0-2 years experience as a physical therapist (Required

  • Knowledge of Neurology

  • Successful completion of clinical internships as required by the academic program
