Position Summary:

Under general supervision, provides supportive services to patients and families. Provides information about patients, hospital services, policies, and procedures. Provides emotional support to families of patients in crisis.

Shift: Full-time (40 hours), Rotating Shift:

5:00 am- 1:30 pm, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, 11:30 am - 8:00 pm

Education/Experience/Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. Requires knowledge of general policies and procedures for patient representative programs, typically gained through 3 to 6 months of experience in this role or equivalent.
• Requires knowledge of general policies and procedures of patient representative programs, generally acquired through three to six months of experience interacting with patients, families, and medical staff frequently, gently addressing patient complaints, and preparing reports.
• Substantial interpersonal skills are needed to interact frequently with patients, families, and medical staff and to comfort patients’ families, as well as advanced communication skills.

Salary Range: Minimum $17.37/hour - Maximum $28.68/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
