The Program Director for High Reliability Organization (HRO) will be supporting both Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. and Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. As the Program Director, you'll:

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive project plans for High Reliability Organization (HRO) initiatives, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project delivery
• Provide leadership and coordination for National Capital Region (NCR)-wide HRO initiatives designed to strengthen safety culture, improve patient outcomes, reduce harm events, enhance workforce engagement, and advance organizational reliability
• Support achievement of quality, safety, patient experience, workforce, and operational performance goals
• Advise leaders of other Johns Hopkins’ entities who are developing and deploying HRO tactics outside of the NCR to support their success and to align tactics across the organization
• Communicate extremely effectively with all stakeholders, including senior leadership, physicians, managers and frontline staff
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, committees, workgroups, and Safety Coach networks

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, organizational leadership or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years’ experience in project management within a healthcare or hospital setting with expertise in High Reliability Organization principles and culture transformation
• Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Lean, Six Sigma, or related certification preferred
• Experience leading enterprise-wide quality, patient safety, culture, or HRO initiatives, working with executive and physician leadership, managing multidisciplinary teams, committees, and large-scale organizational change efforts (preferably in acute care hospital environments)

• Ability to influence leaders and frontline staff across multiple hospitals and disciplines
• Knowledge of patient safety, quality improvement, change management, and performance improvement methodologies
• Strong facilitation, presentation, coaching, and leadership skills

Salary Range: Minimum 43.89/hour - Maximum 72.42/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
