JOB SUMMARY:
The Surgical Technician – Certified, under the supervision of an RN, provides technical support to the Operating Room team including anticipating surgeons’ instrumentation and equipment needs, set-up and take-down of operating rooms and equipment, restocking of supplies stored in hub, and instrument maintenance.
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
Certified by the Association of Surgical Technologists, The National Board of Surgical Technology, the Surgical Assisting Liaison Council Certificate of Surgical Technology or the National Center for Competency Testing is required.
BLS card is required from the American Heart Association.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalency.
Completion of a Surgical Technologist training program including clinical experience.
Six months or greater of recent Operating Room experience preferred.
