Clinical Psychologist Position Summary:

The Clinical Psychologist is responsible for identification and treatment of mental health conditions.

Clinical Psychologist Key Accountabilities:

  • This position functions primarily as a clinical provider, responsible for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions of patients referred to Psychology outpatient clinic and Psychology inpatient consults to provide high level patient care
  • Position will be responsible for participating in supervision of interns/trainees, and allowing observation by pediatrics residents and other trainees to facilitate training experiences and training programs
  • This position will have a small annual research requirement consisting of presentations and/or co-authorship on papers; specific requirements will be assigned by Chief of the Division of Psychology to maintain research endeavors

Work Hours: 8am - 5pm (M-F), 40 hrs/week, wknd work required

Work Location: St. Petersburg, FL

Clinical Psychologist Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree with emphasis in clinical psychology, developmental psychology, school psychology, or counseling psychology
  • 2 years’ experience working in a medical setting; must have experience in assessing and working with children and young adults ages 3-22 who have confirmed or suspected medical conditions and/or psychological conditions
  • Florida Psychologist license
  • Proficiency in data entry and standard PC based applications
  • Flexibility with good time management skills
