As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), a 12-bed unit, you will be privileged to provide care to overflow patients from Medical ICU, RRT distress, and other CC diagnoses.

The wide variety of patients in the CICU presents a unique and rewarding opportunity for our nurses. You will be exposed to a broad spectrum of cases, allowing you to enhance your skills, knowledge, and experience in critical care. Meg Souder, the Nurse Manager, has a remarkable seven-year tenure with us and holds responsibility for managing the Cardiac Cath Lab and Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. This dual role fosters a sense of camaraderie within our teams and promotes collaborative efforts in delivering high-quality patient care.

Meg is characterized by her warm and compassionate personality, which she brings to her leadership style. She leads her teams with a fresh and inviting approach, creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. One of her notable strengths is her active presence on the unit. Meg actively engages in various situations to enhance outcomes for patients, teams, and physicians, demonstrating her commitment to achieving the best possible results for all stakeholders.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Current Maryland or Compact RN license
  • CPR certification - AHA, Red Cross
  • Associate degree in nursing required, BSN preferred, BSN to be completed within four years

Experience:

  • Previous RN experience preferred but will consider New Grad
