The Supplemental Staffing Unit (SSU) - Emergency Department Float Pool Nurse is a versatile and highly skilled healthcare professional responsible delivering emergency medical care to patients int he Emergency Department of both Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. This role requires adaptability, expertise, and a strong commitment to providing the bst care to patients in acute medical situations. As a member of the ED float pool, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality care during their most urgent moments. With passionate and driven leadership behind them, our nurses are able to dedicate themselves to patient safety, clinical excellence, and life-long learning.

Shifts: 12 hour day/night rotating shifts or permanent night shift available; minimum of 24 hours per week

Who Should Apply:

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required
  • RN work experience required in an Emergency Department

Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered; provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years of hire
