Patient Care Tech - PCT - Skilled Nursing

Full time – Day, Night and Rotating shifts available!

This role requires a valid CNA license for the District of Columbia

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence, a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

The Clinical Technician (PCT) works as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) with advanced training in specific clinical skills/competencies on the health care team.

  • Periodically checks patients, takes vital signs, and observes condition of the patient and patient care equipment or devices.
  • Provides personal care for patient including hygiene and physical comfort measures
  • Performs bedside glucose monitoring, EKG tracing, and phlebotomy
  • Inserts IVs
  • Measures and records intake and output
  • Inserts and removes Foley catheters
  • Other responsibilities as required

Minimum Education and Experience:

  1. High school graduate or GED
  2. Current certification as CNA in the District of Columbia
  3. American Heart Association BLS/CPR required
