The Oncology Infusion Clinic provides both standard of care and research chemotherapy/immunotherapy, supportive care infusions, and clinical interventions for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. Other performance and patient outcome services include nurse telephone triage, discharge planning, care coordination, ambulatory clinical evaluation, and advanced drug preparation. Patients with solid tumor diagnosis are seen and treated in the Viragh Building. Patients with hematologic malignancies are seen and treated in the Weinberg Building
Shifts: PRN - 8 Hour Day Shifts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Nursing Assistant Certification in Maryland is required
- 1 year of acute care (hospital) tech experience within the most recent 2 years is required (EMT or CRT experience may be considered)
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
Clinical Technicians at The Johns Hopkins Hospital have the opportunity to provide highly skilled and compassionate patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the health care team. Ongoing education is provided to all Clinical Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice. During your first year, you will have the opportunity to attend eight days of training off the unit, which provide interactive learning activities to support your personal and professional development.
