Diabetes Clinic

Plastic Surgery Clinic

Otolaryngology Clinic

Harriet Lane Pediatric Clinic

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in ambulatory practice areas function as integral members of our interdisciplinary care team. CMAs are responsible for direct patient care and clinic operations including the maintenance of the environment of care and supplies/equipment. Our CMAs share the responsibility with other clinicians in ensuring a safe environment for the patient while providing quality care and a positive patient experience. CMAs function clinically under the authority of the physician within the scope of their certification. They report to the nurse manager and/or lead nurse, who is responsible for the administrative supervision and direction of staff, orientation and annual assessment of competencies, and the assurance to clinic specific and hospital policies and procedures. CMAs may be required to float between ambulatory practice areas.

Clinic Schedules:

40 hours per week

8 and 10 hour shifts available

Mondays through Fridays (no weekend work required)

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required
  • Successful completion of CMA certification with the credentials of RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CCMA or CMAA
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Experience preferred
