Executive Director of Medicine

Summary

Accountable to set strategy and future direction for the department(s). Provides leadership and direction to develop, recommend and implement programs, policies and procedures and standards within their assigned areas. Accountable for driving excellence throughout the assigned areas. Excellence is being acknowledged as a leader in quality, clinical care, education and research by your peers. Acts as a partner to the leadership team and participates in the strategic planning and

attainment of goals organizationally and for area(s) of responsibility. This position is responsible for directing and coordinating the preparation of annual budgets, capital expenditures, grants, financial business plans and metrics (financial/quality), management and oversight of annual budgets and performance targets and metrics. Provides data support for department’s strategy and performance of the programs.

Education & Experience

• Masters in Business Administration (MBA),Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) or similar
• 10 years of progressive management experience
• 5 years in an academic medical center or hospital/clinic environment or a health care integrated delivery system
• Maintains active certification certified and or licenses as appropriate based on job and responsibilities
• Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting
• Demonstrated skill in examining, developing, reengineering, and recommending both operational and financial policies/ procedures
