Hybrid opportunity for a registered nurse with stroke experience who wants to work with data and quality improvement. This position does not involve direct patient care.

About this position:

As a Stroke Quality Improvement Nurse, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health care team to optimize stroke patient outcomes. This position will service The Johns Hopkins Hospital East Baltimore Campus. In this role you will collect and enter data for Comprehensive Stroke Center performance measures into a stroke database (data management and neurology/stroke experience preferred.)

Responsibilities include:

  • Data analysis/abstraction
  • Data entry into the stroke database
  • Coordination of patient care
  • Participation in quality improvement projects
  • Participation in community outreach
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Who Should Apply:

  • Baccalaureate degree, in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience as a licensed Registered Nurse; stroke and/or neurology experience preferred.
  • Highly effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships that foster optimal quality patient care. Ability to work in a fast-paced university teaching hospital.
  • Must be well-organized and highly detail oriented.
