Position Summary:

The Clinical Customer Service Coordinator (CCSC) reports to the Nurse Manager on the unit. Responsible for facilitating information exchange between customers: patients, families, healthcare team, other departments, vendors, or outside agencies. Serves as an initial point of contact for customers in person or by phone. Performs various integral activities to assist medical, nursing, and administrative staff to meet unit, department, and institutional needs. Assists with coordinating, planning, developing, and implementing assigned projects. Oversees front desk and administrative duties. Responsible for day-to-day supervision and performance management of clerical support staff.

Shift: It is an 8 to12 hour shift - 11:00 am-7:30 pm or 11:00 am - 11:30 pm (M-F)

Requirements:

  • Work requires a level of knowledge in health care administration or office management as obtained from completing an Associate's degree. Baccalaureate Degree preferred.
  • Preferred for 2 - 3 years of work experience using customer service, data management, time management, and office management skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology equivalent to that obtained through a sponsored Medical Terminology course.
  • Knowledge of office and administrative procedures and ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Requires comprehensive.
  • Knowledge of computers and proficiency in standard word processing, PowerPoint, and spreadsheet software.
