Location: 4940 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224

Shift:

Full Time (36 hours)

Night Shift, 7:00 pm - 7:30 am

On-call/weekend work required

Non-Exempt; Pay Grade: CO

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing direct patient respiratory care treatments, and assisting in evaluating patients with respiratory illness. Include but not limited to: Respiratory therapy in various critical care units, general respiratory care, adult & pediatric emergency room, ventilator management, Arterial Blood gases, CPAP/BIPAP, 02 Therapy, CPT, Aerosolized medications, CPR/code team, and computerized documentation.

Education:

Minimum Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelors degree in respiratory or related field is highly desirable.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 1-year experience preferred; new graduate RRTs will be considered. Experienced applicants having experience in a variety of age groups and critical care is highly desirable.

Licensure/Certification:

Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist is required. Must be licensed by the Maryland State Board of Physician Quality Assurance.

Knowledge/Skills:

Work requires the analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical or technical principles.

Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
