The physical therapist To provide evaluation, program planning and treatment of patients referred to Physical Therapy. To provide documentation of the above and education to patients, families, hospital staff, and students. To participate in the enhancement of the profession,the facility, and one’s self by providing quality care, clinical research, and education.
The above ensures that all patients are helped to meet their maximum potential through the quality care and input to medical management provided by the Physical Therapist, and that the therapist continues his or her professional growth and development and contribution to the Medical Center.

Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview in Baltimore, MD is now hiring physical therapist. 

Schedule: Day Shift 

Requirements

  • Provides evaluation, program planning, and treatment of patients referred to Physical Therapy.

  • Work requires the analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analysis, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems or design relatively complex systems and programs that cross department/divisional lines.
  • Work requires the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • Work requires frequently reaching and grasping objects.
  • Work requires frequently using a keyboard to interact with computer system.
  • Work requires proofreading and/or reviewing documents.
  • Participates in research studies and/or program development
  • Either initiates and/or continues in a leadership role within a research project or program.
  • Treats patients in a safe manner.
  • The therapist participates in and uses information from peer review activities.

Working Conditions 

  • Work is generally performed in an office or clinical environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in physical therapy.
  • Current State licensure as Physical Therapist required.
  • AHA Healthcare Provider CPR required.
  • 2 years of Physical Therapist experience required.
