As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

General Summary: The Pharmacy Technician III performs both baseline duties (including those of a Pharmacy Technician II) as well as specialized technician duties as determined by departmental leadership. Able to train new pharmacy technicians. Competent to staff in at least two specialized areas/locations as determined by departmental leadership.

Minimum Education:

High school diploma or GED is required.

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:

-Current registration with the District of Columbia Board of Pharmacy for DC as a Pharmacy Technician.

-Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified required. Additional Certification(s) may also be required depending upon the needs and activities of the assigned department/division.

-PTCB for pharmacy students can be waived for those who have an active Pharmacist Intern License.

Shift: Part-Time Limited (20 hours per week), Rotating shifts. Weekend & holiday work is also required.
