Position Summary

Social Worker/Mental Health Therapist will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, diagnostic formulations, individual and family psychotherapy and crisis intervention for patients in our Adult General Outpatient and Geriatric/Neuropsychiatry Clinic. Successful candidate will work with patients with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and PTSD. Successful candidate will work as part of a team with social workers, professional counselors, and psychiatrists to provide integrated care. Successful candidate will maintain clinical documentation in electronic record, obtains insurance authorization for services when indicated, and use Feedback-Informed Treatment measures as part of clinical approach.

Education Requirements:

Must be licensed by the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners at LMSW level.
Exceptions
Is licensed to practice social work in another state or possesses social work qualifications in another jurisdiction comparable.
Meets requirements established by the Board in regulations and has an application pending before the Board of has successfully passed an examination or examinations prescribed by the Board pertinent to the license sought.

Preferred Experience

1 year of experience in providing clinical social work service, preferably in a mental health setting (internship may apply).
The oral and written communication skills necessary to communicate/exchange and interact effectively and professionally with hospital staff, agency health care professionals, patients and families. Interest in working collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members. This is a fast-paced service requiring excellent case management and organization skills
