The Comprehensive Transplant Unit is a 32 bed adolescent/adult surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floor, telemetry, and intermediate levels of care. Care and services provided: post-operative abdominal organ (kidney, liver, and pancreas) transplant recipients; as well as medical management of complications secondary to transplantation. This unit is the designated step down for the Composite Tissue Allotransplantation (hand & face) recipients. New graduate registered nurses (RN) will have a 10 week orientation to general/tele and then an additional 6 weeks to IMC level. Our Surgery ICU Bridge Program will put you on the path to our Surgical ICUs from the start!

All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong accredited Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from Accredited Nursing Program
  • Applicants with an Associate’s degree JHH provides Tuition Reimbursement towards earning your BSN/MSN
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license
  • BLS CPR certification
  • No RN work experience needed!
