Sibley Memorial Hospital is a full service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers

General Summary:

  • Initiates and performs complex pulmonary procedures such as pulmonary function testing and bronchoscopy, and monitors patients and related equipment. Performs other Respiratory Care procedures as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a two year AMA approved school of Respiratory Therapy with an Associates Degree or a one year program with three years of related respiratory experience minimally.
  • The applicant must show proof of successful passing of the NBRC Certification exam or the Registry and clinical simulation examinations.
  • A strong background in Pulmonary Function testing is also required. Must have a District of Columbia license of Respiratory Care Practitioner.
