Regional Director of Security

Job Summary

Responsible to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Public Safety for directing and advising on complex technical security issues, security systems integration, operational efficiencies, and the modernization of security technologies. Provides executive counsel to senior leadership related to technology and business process direction. Provides internal leadership in the development, delivery, re-engineering, and integration of information systems and information services.

This position is to be physically located in the Washington, D.C. National Capital Regional (NCR), and is responsible for the oversight and direction of security operations for the Sibley Memorial, Suburban and Howard County General Hospital, All Children’s Hospital (FL), outpatient surgical and ancillary centers and pharmacies, Johns Hopkins Home Care Group, the Johns Hopkins Community Physician practices in and around the NCR as determined by the AVP of Public Safety. The Applied Physics Laboratory is not included in the scope of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, administration, or an applicable field of study required. Preferred: Master’s degree and applicable certifications (CPP, CHPA, etc.).
• 10 years of leadership experience, including building, leading teams and engaging multi-disciplinary partner groups.
• 4 years conducting or supervising global physical security analysis, as part of federal, state, local or private industry, law enforcement, military or civilian community.
