Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.

The Social Worker I Behavioral Health exemplifies proficiency in patient care, assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning, fostering seamless collaboration within multidisciplinary teams to strengthen community relations. Specializing in ancillary services within the Emergency and Psychiatry Departments, they expedite patient assessments and enhance dispositions while also serving as a crucial resource for families and the wider community. Their expertise ensures efficient and compassionate care delivery, empowering individuals and promoting holistic well-being across diverse patient populations.

Who Should Apply:

  1. Licensure as an LGSW in the District of Columbia. Graduate of an accredited program for social work services or counseling.
  2. Master’s degree in Social Work or sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology from an accredited school.
  3. Experience in psychiatric social work or counseling experience with a focus in adult, geriatric and crisis management.
  4. Current CPR Certification is required.
