Summary

The Team Leader, HIM Document Imaging, under the leadership of the Supervisor, Document Imaging, will provide support to Document Imaging Specialists at one or more hospitals. The Team Leader will monitor daily operations, coordinate work assignments, serve as a resource for process questions and will serve as the escalation resource for customer service concerns, in the absence of the Supervisor, Document Imaging. The Team Leader will provide expert knowledge for operational questions regarding Document Imaging. The Team Leader will apply hospital and departmental policies and procedures when trouble-shooting issues and concerns. In the absence of Supervisor, Document Imaging, the Team Leader, HIM Document Imaging will serve as the HIM contact for internal and external customers, and escalate issues that are not able to be resolved to the Supervisor, Document Imaging, Manager, HIM Operations, or the HIM Director as applicable. The Team Leader, HIM Document Imaging will recommend process improvement opportunities and keep the Supervisor, Document Imaging informed of staffing, process, and technology concerns.

Education/ Work Experience:

High School diploma or GED required. Enrollment in an HIM program strongly preferred.

Required Licensure, Certification, On-going Training:

RHIT preferred.

Work Experience:

One year of experience in or Document Imaging in a Health Information Management Department required.
