The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is a renowned healthcare institution committed to providing exceptional care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs. Our dedicated team of professionals strives to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Job Description:


As a Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for Pediatric Cardiology, you will play a crucial role in the comprehensive care of pediatric patients with complex cardiac conditions, as well as providing continuity of care to these patients. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, diagnose, and develop individualized care plans for patients with complex healthcare needs. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, empathy, and a commitment to providing family-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the division’s Pulmonary Hypertension Program
  • Support the division’s Complex Congenital At-Home Monitoring Program (CCAMP) and single ventricle clinic
  • Coordinate and manage outpatient follow up appointments in conjunction with faculty as needed/appropriate
  • Initiate and maintain pharmacy prior authorizations, with RN support
  • Complete school forms as needed noting activity restrictions
  • Coordinate patient care including phone calls, MyChart messages, faxes and emails

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current certification as a PNP-AC.
  • State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience in pediatric cardiac care or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
