JOB SUMMARY:

The Donor and Events Specialist at Howard County General Hospital (HCGH), a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine is a frontline fundraiser who is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating events. Efforts will focus on engagement and cultivation of donors and prospects in alignment with the goals, priorities and needs of the hospital and designed to maximize funds raised. The Specialist serves as a critical part of the Foundation team and contributes in a variety of ways – in addition to managing events– to achieving HHF fundraising goals. This position works in close collaboration Foundation board members, hospital staff, donors, prospects, and key external stakeholders. The Donor and Events Specialist reports to the Director of Development of the Howard Hospital Foundation (HHF).

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in special events, marketing, or related field plus three (3) years of successful experience in event planning required.

EXPERIENCE:

• Knowledge of Salesforce or other fundraising software preferred.
• Successful event management track record.
• Experience in healthcare environment a plus.
• Experience working with non-profit Boards a plus.
• Experience working with the Howard County community a plus.
