Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner (FNP or WHNP) to join our team at Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital. This position serves as a direct replacement for our Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) Nurse Practitioner and will work closely with Dr. Maria Vargas in an outpatient clinic setting. The role primarily involves providing care to MIGS patients, focusing on conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic pain, and related issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and examinations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the physician
  • Provide patient education and counseling on treatment options and disease management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Current Nurse Practitioner license in the District of Columbia
  • Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)
  • Previous experience in women's health, preferably in gynecologic surgery or a related field
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
