Johns Hopkins Breast Health Services at Suburban Hospital provide a wide range of services and treatment for optimal breast care in Bethesda, Maryland. We have been recognized by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons as a provider of high quality, comprehensive cancer care. We provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment and breast reconstruction services for patients.

About this position:

The Breast Cancer Nurse Navigator functions as a clinical resource and advocate with the goal of ensuring timely, seamless and efficient access for patients of the breast surgery practice. Her/his main area of focus is to improve access and patient experience as well as to provide patient education. Meets newly diagnosed breast cancer patients on their initial consultation with the breast surgeon to provide educational and emotional support and assistance. Assess barriers to care and provide any needed support for patients and their families.

What you will bring:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN and OCN preferred
  • At least five years of RN experience, including at least two years of oncology nursing.
  • Current license as a RN in the State of Maryland is required.
