In our unit, we embrace the challenge of caring for a diverse array of high-acuity patients with conditions ranging from end-stage renal and hepatic diseases to autoimmune disorders and multisystem organ failure. Whether it's supporting the critically ill antepartum/postpartum patient or providing specialized care for oncology patients, we are at the forefront of innovation and excellence in healthcare.

  • Mandated ratios (Will never have more than 2 patients)
  • Bi-Monthly Lunch and Builds: Team building events on the unit

  • Workshop time: 8 hours the first year and 16 hours each year after your second year
  • Reimbursement for classes/ certifications
  • Snack Cart- Essentially a vending machine on the unit filled with yummy snacks for purchase

  • Quarterly staff meetings (paid to attend) to come together as a team
  • Ability to attend national conferences- this year we are sending people to NTI (Denver Colorado) and the Magnet Conference (New Orleans, Louisiana). The unit pays for the conference, flights, and hotels
  • Advanced skill training- Ultrasound guided IV training, Advanced CCRT
  • Sound Rounds- Musician from Peabody institute comes in to play music for patients and staff
  • Pet Therapy- Dogs come in to visit with staff
  • Book Club
  • RISE Restorative Space (off unit)- Massage chairs, art therapy room, tune table

Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree, in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred.
  • Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered. per nursing guidelines, must matriculate to Bachelors of Nursing program.
  • Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire
  • Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire
