We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician II that inspects tests, calibrates, troubleshoots, maintains, repairs and modifies biomedical electronic and electromechanical devices. Has direct responsibility for all serviced devices. This work is performed under minimal supervision and using the tools and techniques of biomedical technology. 2 years of related work experience is required.

A. Education: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires the completion of formal training in a recognized certificate program in Biomedical Technology or Electronics at a recognized technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization.
Or, in lieu of formal training, a candidate must demonstrate 5 years of experience in a technical profession involving electronics, or computer/software-related work
Must demonstrate the accomplishment of continuing education annually, such as service school attended, certifications, and recognized technical training in related technical fields.
Comprehensive knowledge of electronic equipment, biomedical equipment operations and hospital operating procedures.
A demonstrated knowledge of electronics, safety rules, procedures and practices, including the proper use of test and safety equipment as defined by industry standards.
Wide knowledge of computer applications (PC- and network-based), including Windows, departmental e-mail, and custom Clinical Engineering Services database.
Applies biomedical technology, electrical and safety knowledge indicated herein. Safely uses tools and equipment indicated herein.
